01About these terms
These terms govern your use of CheckMyResult GH (“CheckMyResult”), an online results platform operated by BGV Internet Services, Kumasi, Ghana, Ghana. By signing in or paying for access, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
02The service
CheckMyResult lets schools record results, produce report cards, send results by SMS and run examinations, and lets parents and guardians view their children's results online.
Results are entered and published by each school. The school is responsible for their accuracy. If you believe a result is wrong, please contact the school. We cannot change a school's results ourselves.
03Your account
Your school gives you sign-in details for your child. You must keep them private and must not share them with anyone else, including your child, if you do not want them to see results before you do.
When your account still uses the default password, you will be asked to set your own after your first payment. Please do so: until you do, anyone who knows your child's student number may be able to sign in.
You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us or the school at once if you believe someone else has used it.
04Payments
- Some schools charge a fee for access to results for an academic year. The fee and what it covers are shown before you pay.
- Payments are processed by Paystack, by Mobile Money, card or bank transfer. We never see your card number or Mobile Money PIN.
- Access begins once Paystack confirms your payment, and lasts for the period shown when you pay.
- Access fees are not refundable once access has been granted, except as set out below.
- If you are charged more than once for the same child and academic year, we will refund the extra payment. Contact us with your payment reference.
- If you are charged but access is not granted, contact us with your payment reference and we will grant access or refund you.
05Acceptable use
You must not:
- sign in to, or try to sign in to, an account that is not yours,
- change another person's password or lock them out of their account,
- try to view results of students who are not your own children,
- copy, sell or publish other people's results or personal details,
- try to disrupt, overload or break into the platform.
We may suspend any account used in these ways and may report it to the school and to the authorities. Unauthorised access to computer systems is an offence under Ghanaian law.
06Online examinations
Where a school runs examinations on CheckMyResult, students must follow the school's examination rules. The examination mode may lock the tablet to the examination and record activity during the paper. Attempts to leave the examination or bypass these controls may be reported to the school.
07Availability
We aim to keep CheckMyResult available at all times, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We are not liable for loss caused by a temporary interruption.
08Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ghanaian law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for the accuracy of results entered by a school.
09Ownership
The CheckMyResult platform, its design and its software belong to BGV Internet Services. Student records belong to the school that entered them. Report cards may be downloaded and printed for personal and school use.
10Ending access
You may stop using CheckMyResult at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If your child's school stops using CheckMyResult, access to that school's records will end.
11Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
12Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any dispute will be settled by the courts of Ghana.
